Panadol extra is a combined analgesic drug with antipyretic effect.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms:
- coated tablets (12 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard box 1 blister);
- soluble tablets (2 pcs. in laminated strips, 6 strips in a cardboard box).
Each pack also contains instructions for using Panadol extra.
In one coated tablet and in one soluble tablet, the content of active components is: paracetamol - 500 mg, caffeine - 65 mg.

Pharmacodynamics
Panadol extra is a combined preparation of the anilide group, which has antipyretic and analgesic effects.
The pharmacological action is due to the following properties of the active ingredients that make up Panadol extra:
- paracetamol: inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, it helps to reduce the excitability of the heat center and increase heat transfer;
- caffeine: stimulates the central nervous system; its action provides an increase in the permeability of the blood-brain and other histohematological barriers, which leads to an increase in the concentration of paracetamol in the brain tissues and an increase in the analgesic effect.
The drug does not irritate the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), has good tolerance.
