Milk thistle is an annual or biennial herb belonging to the Astrov family.

Description

The plant has rather large leaves, glossy, shiny, slightly wavy. On the inflorescences and stems of the plant there are yellow thorns. The plant blooms from July to August. The flowers are purple, pink or red, tubular, numerous, collected in spherical inflorescences-baskets.
