Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
The analgesic effect of Olazol is due to the presence of anesthesin in its composition, which contributes to the disruption of the process of protein synthesis, carried out by harmful microorganisms. It inhibits the growth of such bacteria, as well as their reproduction, which is associated with the content of chloramphenicol and boric acid in the aerosol.
Sea buckthorn oil significantly accelerates the epithelization (healing) of wounds. A pronounced therapeutic effect is achieved due to the increased dispersion of the components. This factor provides quick tightening of the surface of wounds, healing of burns and abrasions, elimination of pain and painlessness of dressing procedures. The effect of the drug manifests itself already in the first hours after its use: exudation decreases and the burning sensation and pain sensitivity weaken, the process of epithelization and granulation of the wound edges begins.
The drug is characterized by high antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, staphylococci, Escherichia coli and other microorganisms that are often found in the microflora of the wound. Olazol is especially effective in case of slow healing. It speeds up the process of survival of skin fragments during skin transplantation, which is necessary for extensive burns.
In patients suffering from venous and arterial insufficiency and having trophic ulcers, Olazol provides a decrease in discharge from non-healing trophic foci localized on the lower extremities, and cleansing the ulcer site from necrotic purulent formations, and also accelerates healing.

Reviews about Olazol
The most commonly used Olazol for burns. When burns appear in children (for example, when turning a container of boiling water over onto themselves), many parents quickly wash the wound and treat it with this aerosol. The very next day, the burn site dries up and begins to heal. With repeated procedures, the treatment is quick and successful. In this regard, the drug is very popular, and almost all reviews about Olazol are positive.
