Bonin is a drug with antihistamine and antiemetic properties.
Release form and composition
Available in the form of tablets and chewable tablets (in blister packs of 10 and 8 pcs., Respectively).
Active ingredient: meclosine hydrochloride, 1 tablet - 25 mg.
Indications for use
Bonin is used to treat and prevent dizziness (including labyrinthine vestibular disorders, motion sickness and radiation therapy), nausea and vomiting.
Contraindications
- children under 12 years old;
- hypersensitivity to the drug.
With care: glaucoma, enlargement of the prostate gland.
Method of administration and dosage
Bonin should be taken orally.
Recommended doses:
- vestibular and labyrinthine disorders: 25–100 mg per day;
- nausea and vomiting during pregnancy: 25-50 mg per day;
- nausea and vomiting due to radiation therapy: 50 mg 2–12 hours before therapy;
- motion sickness: 25-50 mg 1 hour before the trip, then if indicated, every 24 hours throughout the trip.
Side effects
- from the nervous system: fatigue, drowsiness;
- from the digestive system: dry mouth;
- from the senses: rarely - blurred vision.
special instructions
When prescribing Bonin during pregnancy, it is necessary to assess the ratio of the expected benefits and possible risks.
The drug can cause drowsiness, which should be taken into account by vehicle drivers and persons employed in hazardous industries.
Drug interactions
The depressing effect of Bonin is enhanced by alcohol, tranquilizers, barbiturates, sedatives and other drugs that depress the central nervous system.
Monoamine oxidase inhibitors, in the case of simultaneous use, enhance the anticholinergic properties of meclosine hydrochloride.
Terms and conditions of storage
Store at room temperature out of reach of children.
The shelf life is 5 years.
