Application during pregnancy and lactation

Salicylates entering the systemic circulation penetrate the placental barrier and can have a negative effect on the fetus, as well as on the course of pregnancy and childbirth (for example, when taken in the third trimester of pregnancy, premature closure of the ductus arteriosus or prolonged labor is possible). Also, substances in this group can pass into breast milk.

Although the local use of methyl salicylates does not cause an increase in their concentration in the blood plasma to levels dangerous for the fetus, when prescribing Bom-Benge ointment during this period, a careful analysis of the benefits to the mother and possible harm to the child is necessary.

Pediatric use

It is forbidden to use the drug for the treatment of children under 6 years of age.
