Bongigar is a herbal medicinal product with hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, lipotropic and detoxifying action.
Release form and composition
Bongigar comes in the following forms:
- capsules: hard gelatinous, opaque, brown, size №0, the inscription BONJIGAR is applied on the body and lid in white ink; contents - powder with a characteristic odor of light brown or dark brown color (20 pcs. in plastic bottles, one bottle in a cardboard box);
- syrup: liquid with a characteristic odor from light brown to dark brown (90 ml each in dark glass bottles, one bottle in a cardboard box).
Composition for 1 capsule:
- active ingredients: dry extracts of flowers, seeds, fruits, leaves, roots and rhizomes of medicinal plants (eclipta white leaves - 70.4 mg, licorice roots - 56 mg, milk thistle seeds and leaves - 56 mg, common chicory seeds - 48 mg, fruits of spinous barberry - 42.4 mg, leaves of sprawling berkhavia - 28 mg, fruits of tamarix dioecious - 28 mg, roots and rhizomes of picrooriza kurroa - 28 mg, fruits of sowing radish - 14.4 mg, black nightshade fruits - 14.4 mg, flowers and fruits of Indian spheranthus - 14.4 mg);
- auxiliary component: talc.
Composition for 10 ml of syrup:
- active ingredients: dry extracts of flowers, seeds, fruits, leaves, roots and rhizomes of medicinal plants (eclipta white leaves - 35 mg, licorice roots - 35 mg, milk thistle seeds and leaves - 70 mg, common chicory seeds - 35 mg, fruits spinous barberry - 14 mg, leaves of sprawling berkhavia - 14 mg, fruits of tamarix dioecious - 7 mg, roots and rhizomes of picrooriza kurroa - 35 mg, radish fruits - 18 mg, black nightshade fruits - 35 mg, flowers and fruits of Indian spheranthus - 7 mg);
- auxiliary components: glycerol, sucrose, propylene glycol, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, anhydrous citric acid, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, chocolate vanilla flavor PDF-144, Tutti-frutti flavor CG-2879, purified water.
Indications for use
Bongigar is used for moderately progressive alcoholic steatohepatitis.
The drug is prescribed both as monotherapy and as part of a complex treatment together with cerucal and antispasmodics.
Contraindications
- period of pregnancy;
- lactation period;
- children and adolescents up to 18 years old;
- hypersensitivity to the main or auxiliary ingredients of the drug.
Bongigar in the form of syrup is prescribed with caution in patients with diabetes mellitus.
Method of administration and dosage
The drug is taken orally after meals. Bongigar capsules are swallowed whole, without chewing, and washed down with a little water.
The recommended dose is 1 capsule or 2 teaspoons of syrup (10 ml) three times a day. The duration of therapy is 6 weeks.
A longer course of treatment and repeated therapeutic courses are possible only as prescribed by a doctor.
Side effects
The drug can cause allergic reactions.
special instructions
The effectiveness of Bongigar in viral hepatitis has not been studied.
Information for patients with diabetes mellitus and patients on a low-calorie diet: one single dose of syrup (10 ml) contains 8 g of sucrose (this corresponds to 0.67 bread units).
Drug interactions
Bongigar can be used simultaneously with cerucal and antispasmodic drugs.
Terms and conditions of storage
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 ° C. Keep out of the reach of children.
The shelf life of capsules is 2 years, syrup - 3 years.
