Intravenous solution of Ceraxon is administered as a slow injection or drip in doses:

  • In the acute period of traumatic brain injury and ischemic stroke - 1 g twice a day for 6 weeks. In cases where the swallowing function is not impaired, after 5 days from the start of therapy, the solution can be replaced with a solution for oral administration or Ceraxon tablets;
  • During the recovery period of hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes and with cognitive and behavioral disorders caused by vascular and degenerative diseases of the brain, the recommended dose is 5-10 ml 1-2 times a day.

The daily dose of Ceraxon tablets, depending on the severity of the disease, is 500-2000 mg for 1.5-2 months.

In old age, when using Ceraxon in tablets or in the form of a solution, dose adjustment is not required.
