Release form and composition
Dosage form - an ointment for external use: a homogeneous mass of white with a yellow tint, has a specific odor (20 g each in an aluminum tube, in a cardboard box 1 tube).
The content of the active ingredients of Nayatoks in 100 g of ointment:
- Common cobra venom (dry) - 12 mouse units of action (HONEY);
- Eucalyptus oil - 2 g, which corresponds to 1.4 g of cineole;
- Camphor - 3 g;
- Methyl salicylate - 4 g.
Auxiliary components: beeswax, petroleum jelly.
Indications for use
The use of Nayatoks is indicated for pain syndrome accompanying pathologies of the musculoskeletal system, such as:
- Arthritis of various origins;
- Radiculitis;
- Neuralgia;
- Myalgia;
- Osteochondrosis;
- Sciatica;
- Injuries (sprains, bruises) of the ligamentous apparatus.
Contraindications
- General depletion of the body;
- Violation of the integrity of the skin at the site of application of the drug;
- Skin diseases;
- Pulmonary tuberculosis in the active phase;
- Severe renal and / or liver dysfunction;
- Thrombophlebitis;
- Violation of the coronary and / or cerebral circulation;
- Feverish conditions;
- Angiospasm (including history);
- Age up to 6 years;
- During pregnancy and breastfeeding;
- Individual hypersensitivity to drug components.
With caution, Nayatox should be prescribed if the patient's history indicates bronchial asthma that occurs against the background of the use of acetylsalicylic acid or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs; in childhood.
Method of administration and dosage
The ointment is intended exclusively for external use!
Applying on the painful area of the body in small portions, the ointment is carefully rubbed into the skin.
Dosage regimen for symptomatic treatment: 5-10 g (1-2 teaspoons) 1 time per day, in the absence of anesthetic effect - 2 times a day. After the disappearance of the pain syndrome, the use of the ointment is stopped.
The maximum course of therapy without consulting a doctor is no more than 10 days.
Side effects
In isolated cases, it is possible to develop allergic reactions in the form of itching, redness or rash at the site of application of the ointment (after discontinuation of the drug, they disappear on their own).
If undesirable effects appear, the use of Nayatoks should be discontinued and consult your doctor.
special instructions
Do not allow Nayatoks to come into contact with open wounds, mucous surfaces of the body and eyes! After each procedure of rubbing in the ointment, hands must be thoroughly washed with warm water and soap.
It is not recommended to use the drug for the treatment of children without consulting a doctor.
In case of accidental contact of the drug on the mucous membranes of the eyes, they should be immediately thoroughly rinsed with water.
Drug interactions
The simultaneous use of Nayatoks with anticoagulants for oral administration is contraindicated.
The use of high doses of the ointment can reduce the effect of hypoglycemic agents and increase the toxicity of methotrexate.
Under the action of the drug, a reflex increase in blood circulation in the subcutaneous tissue occurs, this can increase the absorption of simultaneously used external drugs.
