Kocher section (E. Th. Kocher, Swiss surgeon, 1841-1917):

  1. An arcuate incision made in the region of the scapula, intended for its extirpation (complete removal) or resection.
  2. A straight longitudinal incision made along the outer surface of the upper arm, used in operations performed on the humerus.
