Lipostabil is a complex hypolipidemic agent with an antiaggregatory effect.

Release form and composition

Dosage forms:

  • Capsules (forte) (50 pcs. In a package);
  • Solution for intravenous injection (in ampoules of 5 or 10 ml, 5 ampoules in the package).

The active ingredient of Lipostabil is unsaturated fatty acids (linolenic, linoleic, oleic):

  • 1 capsule - 300 mg;
  • 1 ml of solution - 50 mg.

In addition, additionally in the composition:

  • Capsules: 7- (b-hydroxyethyl) -theophylline - 50 mg;
  • Solution: nicotinic acid - 2 mg, pyridoxine hydrochloride - 4 mg, adenosine-5-monophosphate (AMP) - 2 mg.

Indications for use

The use of Lipostabil is indicated for pathologies associated with hyperlipoproteinemia, including:

  • Hypertriglyceridemia;
  • Hypercholesterolemia;
  • Atherosclerosis;
  • Nephrotic syndrome;
  • Violation of the coronary, peripheral and cerebral circulation;
  • Angina pectoris;
  • The period of rehabilitation after stroke and myocardial infarction;
  • Vascular disease (especially in the presence of diabetes mellitus);
  • Prevention of thromboembolism in preparation for surgery.

Contraindications

Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

Method of administration and dosage

Capsules

Capsules are taken orally, before meals, swallowing whole and drinking plenty of water.

Dosing regimen: 2 pcs. 3 times a day, usually for an extended period.

Solution The

solution is used by slow intravenous injection without additional dilution. If additional dissolution of the drug is necessary, the contents of the ampoule can be mixed with a solution of glucose, levulose, invertase and the patient's blood in a 1: 1 ratio. Do not dilute Lipostabil in sodium chloride solution or other solvents!

The dose and period of use is prescribed by the doctor based on clinical indications.

Recommended dosage:

  • Atherosclerosis: 10-20 ml 1 time per day for 2-4 weeks in combination with oral administration of the drug. When the desired therapeutic effect is achieved, the patient is transferred to maintenance therapy - taking 1-2 capsules 3 times a day for 12 weeks or more;
  • Fat embolism (blockage of small vessels with fat drops): as part of complex therapy, 20-40 ml several times a day until the patient's condition is normalized. In addition, treatment for fat embolism and shock includes blood volume replacement, antibiotics, sedatives, and artificial nutrition and oxygen.
