Release form and composition
Dosage form Immunomax - lyophilized powder for the preparation of an injection solution for intramuscular administration: white (in vials or ampoules, 1 or 3 vials / ampoules in a cardboard box, complete with a solvent (in an ampoule), a napkin and a syringe or 30 vials / ampoules in a cardboard box).

Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Immunomax increases the defense of the immune system against bacterial and viral infections. The drug activates the following components of the immune system:
- tissue macrophages, which is expressed in morphological changes in these cells, increased production of bactericidal substances, transformation of 5'-nucleotidase activity;
- NK cells, which, 2-3 hours after the administration of Immunomax, intensively express the CD69 activation molecules. The cytolytic activity of these cells increases 3 times;
- neutrophilic granulocytes, activated by monocytes (Immunomax does not directly affect them); interleukin-8 produced by monocytes activates neutrophilic granulocytes, which is clearly manifested 24 hours after the administration of Immunomax;
- circulating monocytes, which, 2-4 hours after activation by the drug, begin to synthesize cytokines: tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-1β and interleukin-8.
Also Immunomax promotes the formation of antibodies against foreign soluble and corpuscular antigens. It enhances the body's defense against infections caused by bacteria (ureaplasma, E.coli, mycoplasma, salmonella, chlamydia, staphylococcus and others) or viruses (plague virus, human papillomavirus, parvovirus, herpes simplex virus, and others). This effect of the drug is manifested when it is administered to both adults and young children intraperitoneally, intravenously, intramuscularly, per os.
Pharmacokinetics
The pharmacokinetics of Immunomax has not been sufficiently studied due to its peptidoglycan nature and its use in extremely small therapeutic doses.
Indications for use
- Weakened immunity - for correction;
- Pathological conditions (warts, condylomas, dysplasias and others) caused by HPV (human papillomavirus) - treatment;
- Infections caused by herpes simplex virus, mycoplasma, ureaplasma, chlamydia, other viruses and bacteria - treatment.
Contraindications
