Suggestio (suggestio; synonym: suggestion) in psychotherapy is a process of purposeful mental influence, which is perceived by the subject without critical assessment, with a decrease in consciousness, passively.
Types of suggestion:
Hypnotic (hypnotica) - aimed at a person or a group of people who are in a state of hypnosis; used in collective and individual psychotherapy;
Visual (visualis) - in which images of phenomena, objects and faces are used;
Indirect (obliqua) - carried out with the help of phenomena or objects to which a specific meaning was given to the suggestive;
Posthypnotic (posthypnotica) - hypnotic suggestion that exerts its effect on the patient (well-being, attitudes, attitudes, behavior, etc.) after his exit from the state of hypnosis;
Direct (recta) - produced with the help of the inspiring speech, addressed directly to the patient;
Verbal (verbalis; synonym: verbal suggestion) - carried out through speech impact.
