Adrenergic receptors
Adrenergic receptors (lat.adrenalis - adrenal; lat.ad- - at + ren - kidney + receptor - receiving; synonym: adrenergic receptors, adrenoreactive structures, adrenergic systems) - biochemical structures of cells that interact with adrenergic mediators (dopamine, adrenaline, noradrenaline) and convert the energy of this interaction into the energy of a specific effect (muscle contraction, nerve impulse).
Allocate:
- α-adrenergic receptors (synonym: α-adrenergic receptors, α-receptors) - adrenergic receptors, which are characterized by the greatest sensitivity to norepinephrine. When α-adrenergic receptors are excited, vasoconstriction, pupil dilation, contraction of the uterus, spleen occur;
- b-adrenergic receptors (synonym: b-adrenergic receptors, b-receptors) - adrenergic receptors, which are characterized by the greatest sensitivity to isopropylnoradrenaline (isadrin). When b-adrenergic receptors are excited, there is an increase in heart rate, relaxation of the bronchi, vasodilation, inhibition of uterine contractions.
