Release form and composition

Dosage form - powder for preparation of a solution for oral administration: white or white with a yellowish tinge (in a cardboard box 20 heat-sealable bags containing 2.2 g of powder each, and instructions for the use of Artrakam).

1 sachet with 2.2 g of powder contains:

  • active substance: glucosamine sulfate sodium chloride (in terms of 100% substance) - 1.884 g (including 1.5 g of glucosamine sulfate);
  • auxiliary components: citric acid, sorbitol.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Glucosamine sulfate has an analgesic and anti-inflammatory effect, restores enzymatic processes in the cells of the articular cartilage and synovial membrane, increases the permeability of the joint capsule, stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycans and hyaluronic acid in the synovial fluid, and replenishes endogenous glucosamine deficiency.

The use of the drug stops the development of degenerative processes in the joints, restores their function and reduces pain, promotes sulfur fixation during the synthesis of chondroitinsulfuric acid.

Pharmacokinetics

After oral administration, the absorption of glucosamine sulfate in the gastrointestinal tract is 90%, its biological activity is 26%, the half-life is 70 hours.

  • osteochondrosis;

Contraindications

Absolute:

  • severe chronic renal failure;
