Anestezin is a drug with an analgesic effect.
Release form and composition
Anestezin is available in the following forms:
- Tablets of 0.3 g (10 pcs. In blisters);
- Ointment for external use 5%, 10% (based on anesthesin).
Indications for use
The analgesic effect of Anestezin is due to the properties of its active substance - benzocaine, which prevents the occurrence and conduction of pain impulses along the nerve fibers.
Inside Anestezin is prescribed against the background of the following diseases:
- Gastralgia;
- Esophagitis;
- Peptic ulcer and 12 duodenal ulcer.
External use of Anestezin is indicated for toothache, pain in the gums, otitis media, accompanied by itching of skin diseases, pain in the area of the external auditory canal, myositis, urticaria, perianal fissures, and diseases of superficial veins.
Anestezin is used when performing various diagnostic procedures on the mucous membranes - gastroscopy, rectoscopy, otoscopy, ureteroscopy, gynecological procedures.
Sometimes Anestezin is prescribed for vomiting of pregnant women and primary vomiting.
Contraindications
Anestezin is not used in case of hypersensitivity to benzocaine or auxiliary components that make up the drug.
Caution should be exercised when using the drug in children under 2 years of age and in lactating women.
Method of administration and dosage
Inside Anestezin is prescribed 1 tablet up to 4 times a day.
The maximum single dosage is 0.5 g, no more than 1.5 g of the medication can be taken per day.
Outwardly, the ointment is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 2-3 times a day.

The use of Anestezin causes side effects only in isolated cases, most often they manifest themselves in the form of allergic reactions and contact dermatitis.
