Bursitis
Bursitis (bursitis; lat.bursa - purse, bag, from the Greek.byrsa - removed skin, skin + lat.it (word formation suffix) - inflammatory process) - proceeding in the synovial bag and accompanied by the accumulation of exudate in its cavity, an inflammatory process.
Allocate:
- Brucellosis bursitis (brucellosa) - occurs against the background of the osteoarticular form of brucellosis, mainly in the area of the elbow and knee joints, is characterized by a tendency to relapse;
- Calcareous bursitis (calcarea) - chronic bursitis, characterized by the deposition of calcium salts in the wall of the synovial bursa and in fibrin clots, as well as the accumulation of serous-fibrinous exudate;
- Proliferating bursitis (proliferans) - chronic bursitis, characterized by the proliferation of granulation tissue in the wall of the synovial bag;
- Professional bursitis (professionalis) - chronic bursitis, formed as a result of a forced working posture and systematic mechanical pressure (for example, bursitis of the knee joint in parquet flooring);
- Crisp antescapular bursitis - is formed with periostitis and exostosis of the posterior surface of the ribs or the anterior surface of the scapula, in the antescapular synovial bursa, and is accompanied by serous-fibrinous exudate.
