Vasculitis
Vasculitis (vasculitis; Latin vasculum diminutive of vas - vessel + Latin it (word-form suffix) - inflammatory process; synonym: angiitis) - inflammation that occurs in the walls of blood vessels.
Allocate vasculitis:
- Lupus (luposa) - vasculitis that occurs against the background of systemic lupus erythematosus; characterized by the destruction of the vessel wall and pathological changes in the nuclei in its cellular elements, leading to the release of nuclear material and the formation of hematoxylin bodies;
- Hyperergic (hyperergica) - acute vasculitis of an allergic nature; characterized by the dominance of alterative-exudative changes occurring with fibrinoid necrosis of the vascular wall;
- Infectious-allergic (infectiosa allergica) - hyperergic vasculitis, which appears against the background of infectious diseases, due to concomitant toxic-allergic reactions;
- Infectious (infectiosa) - vasculitis, which forms in infectious lesions due to the damaging effect on the vascular walls of the pathogen;
- Infectious specific (infectiosa specifica) - infectious vasculitis, mainly productive, formed against the background of a number of chronic infectious diseases in which granulomas specific to this infection are formed;
- Productive (productiva) - vasculitis, characterized by the dominance of hyperplastic processes in the outer and inner membranes of the vessel, and sclerotic changes in the vessel wall;
- Rheumatic (rheumatica) - vasculitis with rheumatism; characterized by exudative-proliferative or alterative-exudative changes in the wall of small blood vessels, including capillaries;
- Rheumatoid (rheumatoidea) - systemic vasculitis against the background of rheumatoid arthritis, caused by exposure to deposited immune complexes, leading to vascular damage;
- Systemic (systemica) - vasculitis with damage to the vessels of many organs or organ systems;
- Toxigenic (toxigena; Greek toxikon - poisonous, from toxon - onion + Greek -genes - generated, caused) - vasculitis resulting from exposure to certain drugs and toxic substances, due to their damaging effects on tissues or toxic-allergic reactions …
