Suppositories and ointment Hepatrombin G for hemorrhoids are among the popular medicines. It is a multicomponent drug that has anti-inflammatory, regenerating, and analgesic effects. It is inexpensive and can be found in any pharmacy.

The composition of the drug Hepatrombin G

Hepatrombin G contains 3 active substances at once: heparin, lauromacrogol and prednisolone. Thanks to their combination, the drug is effective for hemorrhoids, especially in the initial stages.

Heparin is an anticoagulant, a substance that prevents blood clotting. It is a natural anticoagulant factor, which, together with the protein fibrinolysin, is part of the physiological anticoagulant system of the blood. Heparin belongs to the group of direct anticoagulants, since its effect is due to the effect directly on the coagulation factors in the blood. In addition, heparin inhibits the formation of the main blood clotting protein, thrombin, and reduces platelet aggregation (adhesion), thereby preventing the formation of blood clots. The substance stimulates tissue regeneration and healing, reduces puffiness, inhibits inflammatory processes, prevents the development of stagnation and promotes the elimination of decay products from the body.

When applied to the skin or mucous membrane, heparin is rapidly absorbed and concentrated in the subcutaneous tissue, from where it penetrates through the capillary network into the surrounding tissues, improving their blood circulation by stimulating blood circulation in small vessels. Heparin is biotransformed in the liver and excreted in the urine.

Contraindications to the use of heparin:

  • increased sensitivity;
  • heparin-induced thrombocytopenia;
  • bleeding;
  • pregnancy and lactation - with caution.

Prednisolone is a synthetic analogue of the steroid hormone hydrocortisone, which performs functions identical to those in nature.

In the body, prednisone provides many effects associated with the regulation of metabolism and relief of inflammatory reactions:

  • controls the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids;
  • responsible for the formation of carbohydrate reserves in the liver;
  • maintains vascular tone;
  • regulates the balance of sodium and water;
  • increases diuresis;
  • stimulates the activity of the heart muscle, accelerates the heart rate;
  • improves the functioning of the central nervous system;
  • suppresses cellular and humoral immunity, due to which it has an anti-inflammatory and hyposensitizing effect.

Prednisolone, applied topically, helps to relieve swelling, eliminates burning and itching, has antiallergic and anti-inflammatory effect. However, this is one of those drugs that must be used with caution, only as prescribed by a doctor and strictly in the prescribed dose. There are quite a few contraindications to the use of prednisolone:

  • viral infections;
  • systemic fungal diseases;
  • parasitic diseases;
  • ulcers of the stomach and duodenum;
  • tendency to thromboembolism;
  • osteoporosis;
  • acute renal failure;
  • Itsenko-Cushing's disease;
  • arterial hypertension;
  • thrombophlebitis;
  • tuberculosis;
  • glaucoma;
  • polio;
  • hypersensitivity.

Lauromacrogol is a venosclerosing drug. This substance causes the destruction of protein structures, damage to the inner lining of blood vessels, due to which it is used for sclerosing varicose veins of hemorrhoids. In addition, lauromacrogol has an anesthetic effect.

Contraindications to the use of lauromacrogol:

  • arterial hypertension;
  • atherosclerosis;
  • pregnancy (I trimester);
  • obesity;
  • swelling of the limbs;
  • lactation period;
  • violation of arterial peripheral circulation;
  • endocarditis, myocarditis;
  • thrombophlebitis of superficial and deep veins in acute form;
  • acute infectious and inflammatory diseases;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • pneumonia, bronchitis (in the acute phase);
  • diabetes;
  • diabetic microangiopathy;
  • hypersensitivity;
  • advanced age.
