Pharmacological properties

Triovit contains provitamin A (beta-carotene), vitamins C, E (alpha-tocopherol) and the trace element selenium.

Vitamin E and provitamin A (beta-carotene) are fat-soluble antioxidants, blocking the unpaired electron of free radicals formed in the cell, neutralizing them, protecting membrane lipids from oxidation. The action of vitamin E as an antiatherogenic agent helps to prevent the oxidation of low density lipoproteins, and reduces the risk of cholesterol plaque formation in blood vessels.

Ascorbic acid - a water-soluble vitamin C, protects alpha-tocopherol from destruction, takes part in its bioregeneration.

Glutathione peroxidase is an antioxidant enzyme that contains selenium; neutralizes lipoperoxides. Since lipoperoxides are the most toxic products of free radical oxidation, this prevents the formation of new free radicals and toxic aldehydes. The negative impact of free radicals on health begins from the moment of their excessive formation in the body. The action of the drug is aimed at maintaining the balance of free radicals while weakening the body's own systems that protect cells from damage.

A rationally selected combination of vitamins A, E, C and selenium allows them to show their antioxidant activity at the cellular level, complementing each other's effect. Due to the protective properties of antioxidant vitamins, the drug increases the protective properties of the body, its resistance to adverse environmental factors. It has anti-inflammatory, immunostimulating effects, slows down the aging process.

  • malnutrition, unbalanced diet;
