Adrianol is a synthetic vasoconstrictor drug for local use in rhinitis and sinusitis.

Adrianol nasal drops have a decongestant effect.
The active ingredients of the drug are vasoconstrictor agents, due to which the edema of the mucous membrane decreases, nasal breathing improves and the pressure in the paranasal sinuses and middle ear decreases. In addition, the viscous consistency of the Adrianol solution, according to reviews, protects the nasal mucosa from drying out and increases the duration of the drug's action.
Release form
Adrianol is available as nasal drops for adults and children:
- 1 ml of Adrianol drops for adults contains 1 mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and 1.5 mg of trimazoline hydrochloride;
- 1 ml of baby Adrianol contains 500 mcg of phenylephrine hydrochloride and trimazoline hydrochloride.
Excipients - phenylmercury (II) borate, aqueous ammonia, methylcellulose M. N. V. 10000, ethanol 96%, glycerol, citric acid monohydrate, purified water and sodium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate. In dropper bottles of 10 ml.
Indications for the use of Adrianol
According to the instructions, Adrianol is used:
- With acute or chronic rhinitis;
- With sinusitis;
- As an adjunct decongestant during diagnostic procedures and operations on ENT organs.
Contraindications
According to the instructions, Adrianol is contraindicated for use when:
- Severe kidney damage;
- Pheochromocytoma;
- Ischemic heart disease;
- Glaucoma;
- Atherosclerosis;
- Increased individual sensitivity to the components of Adrianol drops;
- Thyrotoxicosis;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Atrophic rhinitis.
There is no data on the effects of Adrianol during pregnancy and breastfeeding, therefore, the drug should be used only as directed by a doctor.
Instructions for use and doses
The usual duration of use of Adrianol drops is no more than 7 days. In chronic rhinitis, treatment, if necessary, can be continued after a break of several days.
Children's Adrianol is used from infancy, 1 drop half an hour before feeding. Children 1-5 years old are usually prescribed 2 drops three times a day. According to the instructions, Adrianol for older children and adults can be used up to 4 times a day, 1-3 drops.
The simultaneous administration of Adrianol nasal drops with MAO inhibitors is not recommended.
Side effects
Adrianol is well tolerated by all age groups. The resulting side effects can manifest as dryness, burning, or soreness of the nasal mucosa.
Storage conditions
