Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

The active ingredient of Nobazit - enisamia iodide, a derivative of isonicotinic acid, provides the antiviral effect of the drug by inhibiting influenza viruses and other causative agents of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). Its effectiveness is based on the inhibitory effect directly on the process of passage of viruses through the cell membrane.

The drug demonstrates interferonogenic properties and leads to an increase in the plasma level of endogenous interferon (interferon alpha and interferon gamma) in the blood by 3-4 times.

Nobazit enhances the body's resistance to infections caused by viruses. Reduces the severity of acute clinical manifestations of viral intoxication, helps to reduce the duration of the disease.

Pharmacokinetics

When used orally, enisamia iodide is rapidly absorbed. It is found in blood plasma 2–2.5 hours after administration at maximum concentration (C max).

The active substance and its metabolites circulate for a long time in the bloodstream, the half-life (T 1/2) is 13.5-14 hours. These substances are biotransformed in the liver, after which they are quickly (T 1/2 is 2-3 hours) removed from the tissues …

The drug is excreted in the urine in the form of metabolites by 90–95%.

According to most of the reviews about Nobazit found on specialized sites, it is an affordable and fast-acting antiviral agent. The drug effectively eliminates ARVI symptoms within three days of administration, significantly improves the patient's condition and helps to reduce the duration of the disease. However, some patients consider the drug insufficiently effective, or even indicate the absence of any positive results after using it.

In some cases, users express dissatisfaction with the need to take two tablets / capsules at a time, which causes some inconvenience and requires the purchase of several packages, thereby increasing the cost of treatment.
