Release form and composition

The dosage form is a solution for rectal administration: colorless, transparent, odorless and no visible inclusions (120 ml in a plastic bottle with a tip (enema), in a cardboard box 1 bottle packed in a polypropylene bag).

Composition of 120 ml solution (1 bottle):

  • active substances: sodium hydrogen phosphate heptahydrate - 7.2 g, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate - 19.2 g;
  • auxiliary components: phosphoric acid qs up to pH 5.0, sodium benzoate, water.

Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Enema Klin is a saline laxative. Due to osmotic processes, it increases water retention in the intestinal lumen, which leads to increased peristalsis and evacuation of intestinal contents. The drug takes effect within 5–7 minutes after administration.

Indications for use

  • constipation;
  • preparation for endoscopic and X-ray examinations and surgical operations, as well as childbirth.

Contraindications

  • intestinal obstruction;
  • intestinal perforation;
  • acute hemorrhoids;
  • cracks in the anus;
  • acute inflammatory and ulcerative lesions of the distal gastrointestinal tract;
  • age up to 18 years;
  • increased sensitivity to the components of the drug.

Instructions for use of Enema Wedge: method and dosage

Enema Klin is applied rectally in 1 bottle (120 ml).

It is necessary to remove the protective film from the vial, then, by unscrewing the protective cap with the tip, remove the protective cap, and then return the cap with the tip back. Lie on your right side, bending your right leg at the knee, remove the protective cap and insert the lubricated tip into the anus, with slight effort push the bottle towards the navel. After squeezing out the contents of the vial (the vial contains 15 ml of excess preparation for ease of administration), remove the tip. Until the onset of the urge to empty, this body position should be maintained.

Side effects
