Urohol is a combined herbal preparation for the treatment of nephrourolithiasis and gallstone disease.
Release form and composition
The drug is released in the form of drops for oral administration: liquid from brown to green-brown in color with a specific odor (15, 25 or 50 ml each in an orange glass dropper bottle or an orange glass bottle sealed with a dropper stopper and a screw cap; in a cardboard pack 1 bottle and instructions for the use of Urohol).
100 g of oral drops contain the following active ingredients:
- peppermint oil - 2 g;
- fir oil - 8 g;
- castor oil - 11 g;
- oregano liquid extract - 23 g;
- carrot wild fruit extract liquid - 23 g;
- hop extract liquid - 32.995 g.
Additional component of drops: Trilon B (disodium edetate).
Pharmacological properties
Urohol is a combined herbal medicinal product with anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic and antiseptic action. The drug acidifies urine, promotes increased urine output, increased excretion of urea and chlorides, increased bile formation and bile secretion.
Indications for use
- gallstone and urolithiasis;
- biliary dyskinesia;
- acute and subacute calculous cholecystitis;
- acute and subacute calculous pyelonephritis.
Contraindications
Absolute:
- nausea;
- heartburn;
- diarrhea;
- age up to 18 years;
- pregnancy and lactation;
- hypersensitivity to any component of the phytopreparation.
Relative (in the presence of the following diseases, Urohol drops must be used with extreme caution):
- severe functional disorders of the liver;
- diseases of the brain;
- traumatic brain injury;
- epilepsy;
- alcoholism.

Urohol drops are taken orally, before meals.
It is recommended to use the herbal remedy 3 times a day, 8-10 drops applied to a sugar cube. The course of therapy can vary from 5 to 30 days, depending on the severity of the lesion.
In the case of renal and hepatic colic, a single dose may be increased to 15–20 drops. On the recommendation of a specialist, it is possible to increase the duration of treatment and conduct repeated courses.
Side effects
Against the background of drug therapy, there may be side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, heartburn, dizziness, and allergic reactions.
Overdose
If the drug is taken in the recommended doses, overdose is unlikely.
If you accidentally take doses that significantly exceed the recommended ones, the risk of heartburn, nausea, diarrhea, and dizziness increases.

Pediatric use
