The mixture is boiled over low heat for 5-10 minutes, then removed from heat and left to infuse until it cools. The finished product is filtered and drunk, adding honey or sugar as desired.

A popular recipe for ginger with lemon and honey for coughing. To prepare the drug, mix 1 tablespoon of fresh ginger juice and lemon juice. The mixture is left for 30 minutes, after which ½ cup of boiling water is poured and covered with a lid. Honey is added to the drink cooled enough for consumption. To prepare ginger tincture, grind 250 g of peeled ginger root, place it in a 500 ml jar and fill it with vodka. The container must be removed to a dark place and shaken every 3 days. The drug is infused for two weeks, after which it is filtered. Adult patients are recommended to use 1 teaspoon of the product after breakfast and lunch, diluting the tincture in 30-50 ml of water or tea.

There is a widespread remedy for cough from milk with ginger. For preparation, 1 teaspoon of dry ginger is added to hot, but not boiling milk and mix well. After that, put 1 tablespoon of turmeric and honey in the mixture. Take the remedy before bedtime.

With a lingering cough, inhalation with ginger is good. To do this, the root is rubbed on a grater and poured with hot water, after which they breathe in steam, covered with a towel. Such inhalations are quite effective, but they are contraindicated at elevated temperatures and should not be given to children.
