Release form and composition
It is produced in the form of film-coated tablets: uniform in shape, color and size, blue; the core is brown with inclusions from dark brown to white (25 pcs. in blisters, 2 or 4 blisters in a cardboard box).
The composition of 1 tablet contains active substances (in the form of dry extracts):
- Valerian roots and rhizomes - 160 mg (extractant: ethanol 62%);
- Melissa leaves - 80 mg (extractant: ethanol 30%).
Auxiliary components: sucrose - 2.5 mg; colloidal silicon dioxide - 11 mg; crospovidone - 15 mg; magnesium stearate - 1.5 mg; hydrogenated castor oil - 23 mg; microcrystalline cellulose - 67 mg.
Shell composition: titanium dioxide (E171) - 2.421 mg; hypromellose - 20.08 mg; vanillin - 0.282 mg; microcrystalline cellulose - 2.51 mg; stearic acid - 2.51 mg; sodium saccharinate - 0.049 mg; indigo carmine varnish (E132) - 1.639 mg; antifoaming emulsion - 0.049 mg (in terms of dry matter); talc - 0.46 mg.

The drug is characterized by a pronounced sedative effect, improves falling asleep, reduces the frequency of night awakenings and helps to normalize sleep. At the same time, it does not affect the ability to concentrate attention and does not change the speed of psychomotor reactions.

Plant extracts of lemon balm and valerian contain a variety of biologically active substances, the combined effect of which on the body determines the pharmacological activity of Dormiplant. Therefore, information on the pharmacokinetics of individual substances that make up the extracts is insufficient for extrapolation to the drug as a whole.

Instructions for use of Dormiplant: method and dosage
The tablets are taken orally, swallowed whole and washed down with a little water. Do not chew. The drug can be taken with or without food.
The scheme for using Dormiplant is determined by the indications:
- Increased nervous irritability: 2 times a day (morning and evening), 2 tablets;
- Sleep disorders: 30 minutes before bedtime, 2 tablets.

Overdose
Taking valerian root in a dosage of about 20 g can lead to the appearance of non-dangerous symptoms that disappear a day after the discontinuation of Dormiplant, including dilated pupils, hand tremors, fatigue, dizziness, a feeling of heaviness in the chest area, and abdominal colic. With persisting symptoms of overdose, symptomatic therapy is recommended.
