Release form and composition
The dosage form of the release of Grammidin for children is lozenges: almost white or white, biconvex, round, on one side with embossing GR, slight marbling is permissible; have a raspberry smell (in a blister strip of 6 pcs., in a cardboard box 2 or 4 packs; in a blister strip of 9 pcs., in a cardboard box 2 packs).
Active ingredients in 1 tablet:
- cetylpyridinium chloride - 1 mg (cetylpyridinium chloride monohydrate - 1.05 mg);
- gramicidin C - 1.5 mg (gramicidin C dihydrochloride - 1.6 mg).
Additional components: colloidal silicon dioxide - 5 mg; aspartame - 12 mg; talc - 60 mg; citric acid monohydrate - 36 mg; raspberry flavor - 3.6 mg; magnesium stearate - 25 mg; sorbitol - 1055.75 mg.

Grammidin for children is one of the combined drugs for the symptomatic treatment of diseases of the throat and oral cavity of an infectious and inflammatory etiology.
The preparation contains:
- gramicidin C - has a bactericidal (antibacterial) effect against a wide range of gram-negative / gram-positive microorganisms; the mechanism of its action is associated with an increase in the permeability of the cytoplasmic membrane of the microbial cell, which causes a violation of its stability and death;
- cetylpyridinium chloride - is an antiseptic that inhibits the growth and reproduction of causative agents of infectious diseases of the oral cavity.
Grammidin for children has antimicrobial effect. Thanks to its use, inflammation decreases, discomfort in the throat is alleviated, and swallowing is facilitated. The tablets, when resorbed, cause hypersalivation, as a result of which there is a mechanical cleansing of the pharynx and oral cavity from microorganisms.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Grammidin for children is prescribed for the symptomatic treatment of infectious and inflammatory diseases of the mouth and throat, which are accompanied by sore throat and oral cavity: stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, periodontitis.
Contraindications
- phenylketonuria (the drug contains aspartame);
- age up to 4 years;
- period of breastfeeding;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.

Grammidin for children is applied topically after meals. The tablets should be sucked in the mouth (do not chew).
After use, you must refrain from eating and drinking for 1–2 hours.
Grammidin for children is taken 4 times a day in a single dose of 1 (children 4-12 years old) or 2 (children from 12 years old and adults) tablets. The maximum daily dose for children 4–12 years old is 4 tablets, for children over 12 years old and for adults - 8 tablets.
