Uroprost-D is a drug for the treatment of chronic prostatitis and prostate diseases. It has an organotropic effect on the prostate gland, stimulates the muscles of the bladder, has anti-inflammatory and antiaggregatory effects.

Uroprost-D is a drug of animal origin for the treatment of prostate diseases. Its active substance, prostate extract, stimulates the muscles of the bladder, has anti-inflammatory, antiaggregatory and organotropic effects on the prostate gland. It has an immunomodulatory and immunostimulating effect, potentiates the synthesis of antiserotonin and antihistamine antibodies. The components of the prostate extract are cytomedins, which belong to the group of peptide bioregulators, the molecular weight of the peptides is from 1 to 10 kDa. The function of low molecular weight peptides of a paracrine or autocrine nature is to play the role of trans-specific intra- and intercellular messengers.

Peptides of the prostate gland help to reduce the period of blood coagulation and increase the antiaggregatory activity of the vascular wall, improve blood microcirculation, increase the fibrinolytic activity of the blood and increase the contractile activity of detrusor myocytes.

In the treatment of chronic prostatitis, the ability of peptide bioregulators to influence the restoration of blood microcirculation and to exert an indirect anti-inflammatory effect due to an increase in the synthesis of antihistamine and antiserotonin antibodies is used.

Uroprost-D normalizes the secretory function of epithelial cells, reduces the degree of leukocyte infiltration of the prostate gland and edema, increases the number of lecithin grains in the secretion of acini.
