Levomycetin eye drops are a local antibiotic drug used in the treatment of infectious eye diseases.

Release form and composition

The drug is produced in the form of eye drops 0.25% (5 or 10 ml each in polymer dropper bottles, 1 bottle in a cardboard box).

Active ingredient: chloramphenicol - 2.5 mg;

Chloramphenicol is a broad-spectrum bacteriostatic antibiotic. The drug is active against mycoplasmas and rickettsia, Escherichia coli microorganisms, Moraxella lacunata, Haemophilus influenzae, Streptococcus spp. (including Streptococcus haemolyticus and Streptococcus pneumoniae), Klebsiella pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, and some Neisseria and Enterobacter species. The drug is resistant to acid-resistant bacteria, Serratia marcescens, anaerobes, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acinetobacter spp.
