Furasol is one of the antimicrobial drugs derived from nitrofuran. Effective against gram-positive cocci and gram-negative rods (Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Klebsiella spp.). The mechanism of action of furazidine potassium is associated with inhibition of nucleic acid synthesis. Depending on the concentration, it has a bacteriostatic or bactericidal effect. Furasol is used topically and topically.
