Beta-alanine is an amino acid that counteracts the rapid release of histamine, due to the absence of blockade of H ₁ receptors, it does not have an antihistamine effect. The drug directly affects the peripheral cutaneous vasodilation, which causes autonomic hot flashes, fever and headache. After the cessation of the secretion of hormones by the ovaries, an imbalance of cerebral neurotransmitters occurs, as a result of which the activity of thermoregulatory centers in the hypothalamus increases, which in turn leads to peripheral cutaneous vasodilation. Beta-alanine saturates the peripheral receptors of neurotransmitters involved in the described process.
