Release form and composition
Dosage form - capsules: oval, green; content - oily mass from light brown to dark brown color with a characteristic odor (20 pcs. in blisters, 3 or 6 blisters packed in a cardboard box).
Active ingredients in 1 capsule:
- extract of creeping saw fruit / sabal palm (10-14.3: 1) - 160 mg, extractant - 90% ethanol;
- nettle roots dry extract (7.6–12.5: 1) - 120 mg, extractant - ethanol 60%.
Additional components:
- capsule shell: gelatin polysuccinate, glycerin 85% (glycerol), patented blue V (E131), iron oxide yellow (E172), iron oxide black (E172);
- capsule contents: hydrogenated soybean oil, triglycerides (triesters of saturated C 8 -C 18 glycerol and fatty acids), colloidal silicon dioxide.

Prostagut forte is a drug that has anti-inflammatory, antiandrogenic, decongestant, antiproliferative and immunomodulatory effects.
The anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effect of the drug is due to its ability to inhibit the main links of the arachidonic acid cascade and the synthesis of prostaglandins and leukotrienes, as a result of which permeability, edema, pain and inflammation of the prostate tissue decreases.
The immunomodulatory effect of the drug is explained by the ability to suppress the autoimmune effect on the prostate tissue during inflammatory processes and to reduce the proliferation of active lymphocytes.
The antiproliferative and antiandrogenic effect of the drug is associated with inhibition of the enzymes aromatase and 5α-reductase, as a result of which the formation of estradiol and dihydrotestosterone from testosterone, hormones that promote the growth of prostate tissue, is prevented.
Thanks to the active ingredients, Prostagut forte with benign prostatic hyperplasia reduces burning sensation and pain when urinating, helps to empty the bladder quickly, reduces symptoms of urinary disorders and the frequency of false / nocturnal urge to urinate. It does not affect sexual activity.
Indications for use
- treatment of urination disorders associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia I and II degrees and prostatitis;
- prevention of relapses of benign prostatic hyperplasia after surgery.
Contraindications
Prostagut forte is contraindicated in cases of known hypersensitivity to the drug components.
