Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics

Tinidazole-Acri is an antiprotozoal agent with antimicrobial action. Shows activity against vaginal Trichomonas, dysentery amoeba and lamblia.

Anaerobic organisms against which the drug has a bactericidal effect include Veillonella spp., Peptostreptococcus spp., Peptococcus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Eubacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp., Including B. melilaninogenicus and B. …

The mechanism of action of the drug is due to inhibition of synthesis and damage to the structure of deoxyribonucleic acid of pathogens.

Pharmacokinetics

Tinidazole is characterized by a high absorption rate. The maximum plasma concentration is observed 2 hours after oral administration of 2 g of the substance and is in the range from 40 to 51 μg / ml, after 24 hours - in the range from 11 to 19 μg / ml, after 72 hours - 1 μg / ml. Its bioavailability is about 100%.

The substance binds to plasma proteins at about 12%, its volume of distribution is 50 liters. Within 72 hours after administration, tinidazole is excreted in breast milk, penetrates the placental and blood-brain barrier.

The metabolic process is carried out in the liver. In this case, pharmacologically active hydroxylated derivatives are formed that can suppress the growth of anaerobic microorganisms and enhance the effect of the drug. The half-life of tinidazole varies from 12 to 14 hours. It is excreted mainly in the bile (by 50%), to a lesser extent unchanged in the kidneys (by 25%) and in the form of metabolites (by 12%) by reabsorption in the kidneys tubules.

  • amebiasis, including hepatic and intestinal forms;
  • trichomoniasis - tubo-ovarian and ovarian abscess, endometritis, colpitis;
  • giardiasis;
  • infections caused by anaerobic bacteria - acute ulcerative gingivitis, skin and soft tissue infections, lung abscess, pleural empyema, pneumonia;
