Carbohydrate diet

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy for the body. They are divided into fast (quickly absorbed) and slow (slowly absorbed). Carbohydrates of the first type are not very useful, they are most often processed into fat. In addition, their use causes excess insulin secretion, which stimulates appetite even when the body does not need food, and a person eats more than he needs, which is why excess weight appears. And slow carbohydrates provide a gradual release of insulin, which results in a prolonged feeling of fullness. The consumption of these carbohydrates does not lead to the formation of body fat.

The "Carbohydrate Diet" diet includes foods containing slow carbohydrates and is also limited in volume and calorie intake, making this diet very effective.

The carbohydrate diet lasts two weeks. The first week is a period of active weight loss, and the second is the time to consolidate the result. Note that the diet of the second week of the diet contributes not only to weight retention, but also to its further reduction, however, somewhat slower than in the first week.

Rules of the "Carbohydrate Diet":

  • there should be at least six meals per day (the principle of fractional nutrition);
  • dinner should be arranged no later than 19.00;
  • a portion of food in the main period (first week) should not exceed 100 g, and drinks - 150 ml, in the second week the portion size can be increased by 50-100 g;
  • dishes are prepared by dietary methods - boiling, steaming, stewing, baking.

In the first weeks after the diet, you should prefer low-calorie foods, excluding fatty and sweet foods from the diet. New products should be introduced gradually, in small quantities. This will keep the result of the diet for a long time.

Advantages of the "Carbohydrate Diet"

For two weeks "Carbohydrate diet" you can get rid of 6-8 kg.

The state of health and performance does not decrease with this diet, it is balanced, therefore it has a beneficial effect on the body.

Disadvantages and contraindications of the "Carbohydrate diet"

The "carbohydrate diet" has a low daily calorie content, so it is not recommended to stick to it for more than two weeks. Do not neglect advice on the correct way out of the diet, otherwise the lost weight can quickly return.

In the presence of any chronic pathology, a doctor's consultation is necessary before starting a diet.

What foods are allowed?

The diet of the first week of the "Carbohydrate diet" includes:

  • porridge on the water (any, except semolina);
  • dairy and lactic acid products of low fat content;
  • legumes (peas, beans, and lentils);
  • Low-starch vegetables (asparagus, zucchini, carrots, cabbage, cabbage and cauliflower, broccoli, celery, spinach);
  • apples, oranges, grapefruits, pineapples, bananas and other fruits;
  • vegetable oil for salad dressing;
  • green and black tea, black coffee, still mineral water.

In the second week, they are additionally introduced:

  • whole grain or rye bread;
  • low-fat meat, fish and poultry.

What foods are prohibited?

  • salt.
  • sugar and confectionery.
  • bakery products.
  • fatty, smoked and spicy foods.
  • carbonated drinks.
  • alcohol.

Breakfast (8.00) Oatmeal with apple or pineapple pieces. Second breakfast (10.00) Kefir or yogurt. Afternoon snack (12.00) Salad with cottage cheese, apple and banana. Lunch (14.00) Stewed beans with vegetables, fresh tomato or cucumber. Early dinner (17.00) Fresh vegetable salad dressed with olive oil. Dinner (19.00) Kefir or yogurt.

Sample menu for the day of the second week of the "Carbohydrate diet":

Breakfast (8.00) Buckwheat porridge, kefir. Second breakfast (10.00) 2 oranges. Afternoon snack (12.00)

Cabbage and apple salad, a slice of rye bread.

Lunch (14.00) Chicken fillet, stewed cabbage. Early dinner (17.00) Milk and banana cocktail. Dinner (19.00) Boiled rice, stewed vegetables.

Useful Tips

Advice 1. It is recommended to drink at least 1.5 liters of water every day. To ease this, you can add a slice of lemon to the water.
