Orange diet
Oranges, of course, are a useful product in the fight against excess weight. These citrus fruits regulate insulin levels, the excess of which causes an increase in appetite. In addition, insulin is involved in the conversion of simple carbohydrates into body fat. Finally, by keeping insulin levels high, oranges boost metabolism.
The Orange Diet comes in two versions, one for three weeks, the other for three days. In addition to oranges, the diet contains a number of other foods that relieve the diet of monotony.
The average daily calorie content of the menu for the three-week variant is about 1200 kcal. If you strictly adhere to the rules, then during this period you can lose 8-10 kg of excess weight. The three-day version of the "Orange Diet" allows you to get rid of 2-3 kg, but the diet is more gentle.

Advantages of the "Orange Diet"
Oranges are a delicacy for many people, and this diet does not seem particularly difficult. Oranges are rich in sugars, this will quench the cravings for carbohydrates, so characteristic of those who are overweight.
Serving size is not limited, that is, the Orange Diet is quite satisfying.
The diet of the three-day diet includes a variety of foods - fish, meat, vegetables, bread. It is more a nutrition-based system than a diet itself.
Disadvantages and contraindications of the "Orange diet"
The three-week "Orange Diet" is extremely unbalanced: the menu contains almost no proteins that play an important role in the formation of muscles, necessary for the formation and growth of cells. It is possible that a long-term lack of protein in the diet will negatively affect the functioning of the nervous system.
Although oranges are healthy, the amount in which they are suggested can be harmful to the body. Thus, an orange is one of the sweetest fruits, and a significant amount of sugars is harmful to people with impaired carbohydrate metabolism.
The first two weeks of the diet pass without eating vegetables, which is fraught with disruption of the gastrointestinal tract: constipation, bloating, and indigestion are possible.
The very low calorie content of the daily menu can lead to the fact that the metabolism slows down significantly. And in the future, after stopping the diet, the weight will return quickly or even become more than before.
A three-day diet is more comfortable in this sense: the calorie content of the daily menu is higher, there is more variety of dishes, and a lot of protein products are included in the diet.
