Aziks-Derm is a drug for the local treatment of acne with antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - cream for external use 20%: opaque white mass of a homogeneous structure (30 g in an aluminum tube, in a cardboard box 1 tube).
1 g of Aziks-Derma cream contains:
- Active substance: azelaic acid - 0.2 g;
- Auxiliary components: benzoic acid, propylene glycol, arlaton 983 (glyceryl monostearate), glycerol, CBS cutana, 350 CST silicone oil, crodamol ATS, purified water.
Indications for use
- Common acne (acne vulgaris);
- Melasma and other types of pathological hyperpigmentation.
Contraindications
- Age under 12;
- Hypersensitivity to drug components.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the cream is used with caution, provided that the expected benefit to the mother exceeds the potential harm to the fetus and child.
Method of administration and dosage
The cream is applied externally, applying a thin even layer on the previously cleansed and dried acne-affected skin of the face, neck and upper chest. Water and mild cleansers are used to cleanse the skin and remove dirt.
The duration of treatment is prescribed by the doctor based on clinical indications and the severity of the symptoms of the disease.
The extruded column of cream, approximately 2.5 cm long, is designed for the entire surface of the face; for application to a smaller area, the amount is determined individually.
Duration of treatment with regular use of the cream 2 times a day (morning and evening):
- Common acne (acne vulgaris): a pronounced clinical effect occurs after 1 month of therapy; to achieve a stable result, the application of the drug is continued for 2-3 months;
- Melasma: at least 3 months, with the obligatory use of sunscreens to prevent exacerbation or recurrence of re-pigmentation of the skin.
Side effects
- Rarely (more often at the beginning of therapy): transient burning and itching sensation, hyperemia, skin irritation, erythema, peeling;
- Possibly: allergic reactions (including rash).
The burning and tingling sensation that arose after applying the cream disappears on its own after 10-15 minutes.
special instructions
Do not let the cream come into contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, lips or mouth; if accidentally splashed, rinse with plenty of water.
When prescribing the drug during lactation, it is impossible to apply the cream before lactation to the area of the mammary glands.
The use of Azix-Derma can be combined with other methods of treating acne, adjusting the doses of simultaneously used drugs.
In case of severe skin irritation at the beginning of treatment, the cream can be applied in smaller doses or applied once a day, and if necessary, temporarily cancel the drug and resume therapy at the recommended doses after the irritation has completely disappeared.
Since dermal melasma is insensitive to azelaic acid, differential diagnosis using a Wood lamp is required.
The cream does not affect the patient's ability to drive vehicles and mechanisms.
Drug interactions
The interaction of the cream with other drugs has not been established.

Analogs of Aziks-Derma are: Skinoren, Skinoclear.
