Treatment of fibrous mastopathy
Treatment of fibrous mastopathy, like any other disease, can be etiotropic and symptomatic. An etiotropic method is always preferred, but not always possible. It aims to eliminate the cause of the disease. Symptomatic treatment is aimed at eliminating the symptoms, and resort to it when the cause has not been established. This does not mean that symptomatic treatment is useless. In the overwhelming majority of cases, this is much better than nothing, because after all, it is the symptoms of the disease that deliver the main suffering to a person. Nevertheless, it does not eliminate the cause, which means that there is a risk that the disease will hide and remain, or return again.
Most often, the treatment of fibrous mastopathy is symptomatic, since its causes have not been reliably established. Presumably, this is a violation of the hormonal background, namely, the predominance of estrogen with a reduced production of progesterone. I must say that the same hormonal disturbance provokes the formation of uterine fibroids. Why one woman with such an endocrine disorder develops fibrous mastopathy, another has fibroids, and the third has a menstrual cycle that is lost, has not yet been clarified. Etiotropic treatment would be to eliminate the factor that caused the hormonal disruption.
So how is fibrous mastopathy treated? Of course, from the correction of hormonal levels. But since interference with the hormonal background, a system with the finest neuroregulation, is extremely dangerous, only a doctor can do this. Taking drugs by self-administration is unacceptable, since the result can be the opposite of what was expected.
But drug therapy in this case is not the leading method. The leading method of dealing with this ailment is to change the lifestyle that led to the disease to a healthier one. A woman needs sufficient rest, good sleep, adequate psycho-emotional stress, and constant, but not burdensome physical stress. It is also extremely important to normalize nutrition. Often this is already enough for the mastopathy to recede.
Sometimes a rather successful symptomatic treatment of fibrous mastopathy is carried out with folk remedies.
