Alvogen first aid O. R. S. - a biologically active additive (BAA), the source of vitamin B 2 and glucose.
Release form and composition
Dosage form - effervescent tablets weighing 3 g (12 and 24 pcs. In a tube, 1 tube in a cardboard box).
100 ml of a solution prepared from 1 effervescent tablet contains:
- glucose - 1826 mg;
- citric acid - 429 mg;
- sodium bicarbonate - 331 mg;
- sodium chloride - 176 mg;
- potassium chloride - 150 mg.
Excipients: polyethylene glycol 6000 - 33.7 mg, riboflavin 5 phosphate - 0.3 mg, aspartame - 14 mg, lemon flavor - 40 mg.
Component properties
Alvogen first aid O. R. S. helps to restore water-salt balance in adults and children over 14 years old.
Indications for use
Alvogen first aid O. R. S. used as supplements to food, which is an additional source of glucose and vitamin B 2, it contains calcium and sodium.
To restore the water-salt balance, the drug is recommended to be taken in the following cases:
- acute diarrhea;
- dehydration due to the abuse of alcoholic beverages;
- thermal damage associated with violations of water and electrolyte metabolism;
- physical and thermal stress, leading to intense sweating.
Contraindications
- diabetes;
- phenylketonuria;
- gastrointestinal obstruction;
- renal failure;
- pregnancy;
- lactation period;
- age up to 14 years;
- individual intolerance to the components.
Recommendations for use
Alvogen first aid O. R. S. taken orally with meals. 2 effervescent tablets must be dissolved in 200 ml of drinking water, drink the solution slowly, in small sips.
The course of administration is 1-2 weeks, if necessary, the drug may be reused.
To prevent fluid loss, it is recommended to start taking the supplement immediately after the onset of diarrhea. The duration of admission in this case is usually 3-4 days, until the end of the diarrhea.
To replenish already lost fluid, the supplement should be taken within the first 6-10 hours after the onset of diarrhea. The dose in this case should be twice the lost body weight (for example, if the body weight loss was 500 g, then the amount of the solution prepared from the effervescent tablets should be 1000 g).

Rules for taking dietary supplements:
- take effervescent tablets only in dissolved form;
- to prepare the solution, use drinking water (you can use chilled boiled water);
- do not add sugar or liquid containing sugar to the solution;
- do not exceed the recommended dose.
In the event of symptoms of dehydration (dry mouth, dry tongue, thirst, decreased urination, dry skin, disorientation, drowsiness, weakness), you should consult your doctor.
