AdjiCOLD is a drug for the symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory diseases.

Release form and composition

Dosage form - tablets: round, flat, from light orange with orange blotches to orange, with a dividing line on one side (4 and 10 pieces in blisters; in a cardboard box 1 blister, packed in a cardboard envelope with printed text instructions, or 1 blister together with instructions for use of AjiCOLD, or 25 cardboard envelopes).

Active ingredients in 1 tablet:

  • paracetamol - 500 mg;
  • caffeine - 30 mg;
  • phenylephrine hydrochloride - 10 mg;
  • chlorphenamine maleate - 2 mg.

Auxiliary components: microcrystalline cellulose, propylene glycol, povidone, sodium carboxymethyl starch, propyl parahydroxybenzoate, methyl parahydroxybenzoate, corn starch, magnesium stearate, water, sunset yellow dye.

AdzhiKOLD is a drug of combined composition, the effect of which is due to the properties of its active components:

  • paracetamol: an antipyretic analgesic with antipyretic and analgesic effects;
  • caffeine: has a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, as a result of which fatigue and drowsiness decrease, mental and physical performance increases;
  • phenylephrine: has a vasoconstrictor activity, which helps to eliminate congestion and reduce nasal discharge;
  • chlorphenamine: has anti-edema and anti-allergic effects. Reduces vascular permeability, eliminates hyperemia and swelling of the nasal mucosa, and also suppresses the symptoms of allergic rhinitis, thereby facilitating breathing.

AdzhiCOLD tablets should be taken orally.

Adults are prescribed 1–2 pcs. 3 or 4 times a day, but not more than 4 pcs. during the day.

Children 6-12 years old are recommended to take 1 pc. 1 to 4 times a day.

Side effects

AdzhiKOLD in therapeutic doses is generally well tolerated.

Possible side effects: allergic reactions, dry mouth, nausea, headache, irritability, sleep disturbances, dizziness.

Overdose

Overdose symptoms, as a rule, are caused by paracetamol: nausea, vomiting, anorexia, pallor of the skin, increased activity of hepatic transaminases, hepatonecrosis, increased prothrombin index.

When using antipsychotics, antiparkinsonian drugs, antidepressants, phenothiazine derivatives, constipation, dry mouth, urinary retention are possible.

AgiCOLD contains chlorpheniramine, which, when combined with furazolidone or MAO inhibitors, can lead to hyperpyrexia, agitation, and hypertensive crisis.
