Phosphalugel is an antacid drug that also has an enveloping and adsorbing effect.
The preparation contains the active ingredient - aluminum phosphate. Phosphalugel neutralizes free hydrochloric acid in the stomach, and also reduces the activity of pepsin. Within 10 minutes, the drug reduces acidity to a level of 3.5-5. At the same time, the antacid effect of Phosphalugel is not associated with alkalization of gastric juice, there is no secondary HCl hypersecretion.
