Fenoterol is a bronchodilator, selective beta2-adrenergic agonist.
Pharmacological action of Fenoterol
Fenoterol acts on beta2-adrenergic receptors. The mechanism of action of the drug itself is directly related to the activation of the catalyst for the conversion of ATP, which leads to an increase and acceleration of the formation of c-AMP, which leads to a decrease in the concentration of calcium in the organelles of muscle cells, which ensure their contraction.

Fenoterol is available in the form of tablets, aerosols, solution for inhalation, solution for injection and infusion.
Indications for use
According to the instructions, Fenoterol is used in the form of inhalation in the case of treatment of attacks of bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, spastic bronchitis, for the prevention of asthma after physical exertion, in preparation for the administration of other drugs.
Fenoterol is also used for bronchodilation tests in the study of respiratory function. It is also used in obstetrics with the threat of premature birth or the threat of miscarriage after 4 months of pregnancy.
Mode of application
