Pulmex is a combined herbal medicine with anti-inflammatory, expectorant and antiseptic effects.

Release form and composition

Dosage forms of Pulmex:

  • Ointment (40 g in tubes, 1 tube in a cardboard box);
  • Ointment (Pulmex baby) for young children (20 g in a tube, 1 tube in a cardboard box).

Active substances in the composition of 1 g of ointment:

  • Peruvian Balsam (resin free) 60 mg
  • Camphor - 125 mg;
  • Eucalyptus essential oil - 50 mg;
  • Essential rosemary oil - 50 mg.

Active substances in the composition of 1 g of ointment for young children:

  • Peruvian Balsam (resin free) 60 mg
  • Eucalyptus essential oil - 50 mg;
  • Essential rosemary oil - 50 mg.

Auxiliary components: carbomer 974 R, polysorbate 20, 30% sodium hydroxide solution, purified water.

Indications for use

Pulmex is prescribed simultaneously with other drugs for the treatment of respiratory diseases of inflammatory and infectious-inflammatory genesis, occurring with cough: tracheitis, tracheobronchitis, bronchitis (acute and chronic), acute respiratory diseases.

Contraindications

  • Epileptic syndrome (presence of indications in the anamnesis);
  • Age up to 6 months (Pulmex baby) and up to 3 years (Pulmex);
  • Skin damage, the presence of skin diseases in the areas of the intended application of the ointment;
  • Hypersensitivity to drug components.

It is not recommended to use the drug for lactating and pregnant women.

Method of administration and dosage

Pulmex is used externally.

A small amount of ointment is applied, lightly rubbing, 2 times a day on the chest and back (upper and middle parts). After complete absorption, the site of application of the drug should be covered with a dry warm cloth.

Side effects

The use of Pulmex may be accompanied by the development of side effects in the form of allergic skin reactions.
