Release form and composition
- Rectal suppositories: light yellow-green color (5 pcs. In polyvinyl chloride blister strip packs, 2 packs in a cardboard box);
- Ointment for rectal and external use: yellow (20 g each in aluminum tubes with a screw-on polypropylene cap, in a cardboard box 1 tube and an applicator).
Active ingredients in 1 suppository:
- Bufeksamak - 0.25 g;
- Titanium dioxide - 0.1 g;
- Bismuth subgallate - 0.1 g;
- Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate - 0.01 g
Suppository excipient: solid fat.
Active substances in the composition of 1 g of Proctosan ointment:
- Bufeksamak - 0.05 g;
- Titanium dioxide - 0.05 g;
- Bismuth subgallate - 0.05 g;
- Lidocaine hydrochloride monohydrate - 0.005 g.
Excipients of Proctosan ointment: policos (light liquid paraffin and polyethylene), sorbitan sesquioleate, isopropyl palmitate, light liquid paraffin, 70% sorbitol solution (non-crystallizing), lanolin, water.

Indications for use

Instructions for the use of Proctosan: method and dosage
The agent is prescribed 1-2 times a day, 1 suppository, in the form of an ointment, Proctosan is injected into the rectum using an applicator with the same frequency. The drug should be administered after bowel movement. The duration of the course is determined individually, but it is recommended to continue treatment for another 8-10 days after the acute symptoms subside.
Externally, Proctosan ointment should be applied 2 times a day to the affected areas of the anus (on the skin previously washed with warm water without soap and dried with a soft napkin).
Side effects
The drug is generally well tolerated, in some cases it is possible to develop hypersensitivity reactions to the components of the ointment / suppositories, manifested by reddening of the skin of the perianal zone, burning, itching, edema, the formation of bubbles, scales, etc.
