Yoks-Teva is a combined drug with anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial effects for the treatment of oral diseases.
Release form and composition
Dosage forms Yoks-Teva:
- solution for topical application: slightly opalescent or transparent liquid, brown-red in color, unlimitedly soluble in water (in a dark glass bottle 50 or 100 ml, in a cardboard box 1 bottle complete with or without a measuring cap);
- spray for topical application: liquid of red-brown color, transparent or slightly opalescent, infinitely soluble in water (in a bottle made of polyethylene or polyethylene terephthalate with a mechanical sprayer 30 ml, in a cardboard box 1 bottle complete with an applicator).
Yoks-Teva solution and spray have a similar composition, 1 ml of which contains:
- active ingredients: allantoin - 1 mg, povidone-iodine - 85 mg;
- auxiliary components: levomenthol, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, ethyl alcohol 96%, propylene glycol, purified water.
Pharmacological properties
Pharmacodynamics
Yoks-Teva is used to treat diseases of the oral cavity and ENT organs. It contains active substances with anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action due to the release of iodine when the solution comes into contact with the skin or mucous membranes. The drug has a wide range of effects on microorganisms, it is active against viruses, bacteria, fungi and protozoa.

Indications for use
- infectious and inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity and pharynx, including stomatitis, aphthae, glossitis, tonsillitis, tonsillitis, tonsilopharyngitis;
- infectious lesions of the oral cavity that occur during chemotherapy;
- streptococcal sore throats - as an additional remedy for antibiotic therapy.
According to the instructions, Yoks-Teva is also used for surgical interventions in the oral cavity and respiratory tract - for processing the oral cavity and pharynx during surgery and in the postoperative period.
Contraindications
- heart failure;
- hyperthyroidism (thyroid dysfunction);
- Duhring's dermatitis herpetiformis;
- joint use of radioactive iodine;
- pregnancy and lactation period;
- children under 6 years old;
- increased individual sensitivity to iodine and any other component of the drug.
Instructions for use Yoks-Teva: method and dosage
Topical solution
Before use, the Yoks-Teva solution is diluted with water in a ratio of 1:20 to 1:40 (from 2.5 to 5 ml of solution in 100 ml of water), measuring it using the supplied measuring cap or a teaspoon (respectively, from 1 / 2 to 1 tsp). The diluted solution is used to rinse the mouth and pharynx.
It is recommended to rinse 2 to 4 times a day. If necessary, you can use the drug more often - up to 6 times a day. The interval between rinsing should not be less than 4 hours.
Topical spray
Spray Yoks-Teva is injected into the oral cavity and pharynx. Before use, you must remove the protective cap and install the applicator. For the solution to fill the nebulizer, press the applicator 2-3 times, then insert the applicator tube 2-3 cm into the mouth, hold your breath and press the cap twice so that one irrigation is directed to the left, the second to the right. Before and after use, the applicator must be rinsed with hot water.
It is recommended to do 1 injection to the left and to the right into the mouth and throat 2 to 4 times a day. If necessary, you can use the drug more often - every 4 hours.
Side effects
In some cases, the use of Yoks-Teva may be accompanied by hypersensitivity reactions to its components, local manifestations of allergic reactions to iodine (hyperemia, itching), which may require discontinuation of the drug.
In case of prolonged use (more than 7-10 days), manifestations of iodism are possible, including increased salivation, metallic taste in the mouth, swelling of the larynx and eyes. If these symptoms occur, it is necessary to stop treatment with the drug and consult a specialist.
Overdose
At the moment, there is no information about Yoks-Tev overdose.

The drug is not intended for oral administration; ingestion or inhalation should be avoided.
Yoks-Teva contains approximately 19% ethyl alcohol.
The patient should be warned about the need to discontinue the drug and consult a doctor if signs of iodism occur.

Yoks-Teva is contraindicated for use in pregnant and breastfeeding women.
