Venolek is an angioprotective drug that improves lymphatic drainage, microcirculation, oxygen diffusion and perfusion in skin tissue.
Release form and composition
The dosage form of Venolek is film-coated tablets: from yellow to light yellow, round, biconvex; the core at the break is grayish-yellow or yellow (10 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard bundle of 1, 3, 5 or 6 packs; 15 pcs. in blisters, in a cardboard bundle of 2 or 4 packs).
Composition of 1 tablet:
- active substance: diosmin - 500 mg;
- auxiliary components: polyethylene glycol 6000 (macrogol) - 9.75 mg; sodium carboxymethyl starch - 2 mg; hydroxypropyl cellulose (hyprolose) - 18 mg; microcrystalline cellulose - 51 mg; calcium hydrogen phosphate dihydrate - 65.25 mg; magnesium stearate - 4 mg;
- shell: Selecoat AQ-01812 (polyethylene glycol 400 - 3 mg; titanium dioxide - 7.5 mg; hydroxypropyl methylcellulose - 16.2 mg; polyethylene glycol 6000 - 3 mg; quinoline yellow dye - 0.15 mg; iron oxide yellow dye - 0, 15 mg) - 30 mg.
Indications for use
Venolek is prescribed simultaneously with other drugs in the treatment of the following diseases / conditions:
- venous insufficiency of the lower extremities (in order to eliminate symptoms such as pain and a feeling of heaviness in the legs);
- acute hemorrhoids (to eliminate symptoms).
Contraindications
- I trimester of pregnancy and lactation period (due to limited clinical data);
- age up to 18 years;
- individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Method of administration and dosage
Venolek is taken orally.
- varicose veins of the lower extremities, chronic lymphovenous insufficiency: 1 tablet a day, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning, a course of 2 months; in cases of treatment of severe forms of chronic lymphovenous insufficiency (pain, edema, convulsions, ulcers and trophic changes), the use of Venolek can be longer, but not longer than 3 months. After 2-3 months, the therapeutic courses are repeated. In cases of using the drug in chronic lymphovenous insufficiency by pregnant women during the II – III trimesters, Venolek should be taken 1 tablet 1 time per day for a course of up to 30 days. Therapy should be discontinued 2-3 weeks before delivery;
- exacerbation of hemorrhoids: 2-3 tablets per day, preferably with meals, for 7 days.
If you accidentally skip taking a single dose, therapy should be continued as usual, without increasing the dose.
Side effects
Possible side effects: (> 10% - very common;> 1% and 0.1% and 0.01% and <0.1% - rarely; <0.01% - very rare):
- skin: rarely - itching, rash, urticaria;
- digestive system: often - diarrhea, nausea, bloating, vomiting;
- nervous system: rarely - headache, dizziness, malaise.
