Teenage alcoholism
Teenage alcoholism is undoubtedly a disease. But this is not only a disease of the adolescent himself. Teenage alcoholism is a disease of his family, his environment, and his society. It never arises out of the blue, there is no need to puzzle scientists, here the reason is obvious. You can cover it with a variety of scientific and pseudoscientific terms, but in fact, behind this lies one thing - a lack of love.
A child who grows up in a lack of love will try to get it with all his might, even in a perverted form, attracting attention to himself in any way, even in a negative way. This is how “difficult” teenagers grow out of children desperate for love and attention. And here the economic situation of the family is not important, since children in economically prosperous families suffer from adolescent alcoholism as often as in poor ones. It's even easier for them, because the lack of parental love in such families is usually compensated for with significant amounts of pocket money, so alcohol is much more affordable for such teenagers. But because, whether the child drinks expensive sorts of beer and cognac, or a cheap "shmurdyak" in a liqueur around the corner, the essence of teenage alcoholism does not change. The influence of any alcohol on a growing organism is detrimental.
Alcohol is poison. Alcohol that comes in constantly is a chronic intoxication of the body. Usually, poisons in the body are neutralized by the liver, but in adolescents these mechanisms are still underdeveloped, and the liver is not able to cope with such a load. And if even in adult men alcoholism leads to cirrhosis, then one can imagine what terrible damage to the liver is caused by teenage alcoholism. The liver is the most important organ, it includes enzymes, hormones, and blood purification - all this suffers. A teenager with alcoholism is a completely unbalanced organism that needs urgent treatment.
Teenage alcoholism is terrible in that severe forms of addiction are developed very quickly despite the fact that there are changes in the psyche. This disease, although chronic, develops very quickly, and irreversible changes also occur quickly. Therefore, emergency measures must be taken at the first suspicion. What exactly are the measures, the specialist will tell you. But remember, the lack of something is not compensated by more withdrawal of it. It is not necessary to treat teenage alcoholism with condemnation and punishment, it is ineffective. Lack of love is compensated only by love, attention and care.
