Permanent lip makeup
Permanent lip makeup is a cosmetic procedure for introducing coloring pigment into the subcutaneous layer (at the level of the epidermis) of the lips using a specialized electric device equipped with needles. The pigment insertion depth is 1 mm.
Permanent lip makeup is a "light form" of a tattoo, which, unlike a real one, does not remain on the skin surface for life, being performed with natural dyes that retain their color for 3-5 years.
With the help of permanent lip make-up, you can correct the natural shape of the lips, making it larger, more symmetrical and expressive.
There are three main types of permanent makeup (tattoo):
- Lip contour tattooing. In this procedure, pigments are injected along the contour, which allows you to add volume and expressiveness to the lips. This creates the effect of lips clearly drawn with a pencil. The cosmetic procedure allows you to use lipstick of any color;
- Permanent lip makeup with shading. The procedure involves the introduction of a brighter pigment along the contour of the lips, with a smooth transition to shading, the width of which is about 0.5 mm. The tattoo makes the contour of the lips blurry and natural, increasing their visual volume. Recommended for women with thin lips;
- Full lip tattoo. At the same time, a contour is first applied to the lips, after which the entire lip area is filled with a coloring pigment.
- Permanent lip makeup 3d ("light kayal"). The makeup procedure involves the use of at least three shades of color pigments by a specialist. Permanent lip makeup 3d allows you to make a characteristic highlight above the upper lip, which visually increases their volume, creating a relief effect.
Permanent lip makeup procedure
The procedure for applying permanent lip makeup is carried out by a specialist with medical education in a beauty salon. The duration of the tattoo is 1.5-2.5 hours. For a more even distribution of the coloring pigment, the procedure is divided into 2-3 sessions, while the treatment of each skin area is about 45 minutes.
The main stages of permanent tattooing:
- Choosing a technique and drawing up a sketch with which permanent lip makeup will be carried out;
- Selection of a color shade;
- Anesthesia (with local injections and pain relieving gels);
- Care after the performed procedure, specialist recommendations.
During the permanent make-up, the skin is processed with fine needles, which eliminates serious injury to the skin. In this case, coloring pigments are injected up to the second layer of the epidermis, where there are no blood vessels, therefore the risk of infection and the appearance of allergic reactions is minimal.
Slight swelling and crusting on the lips after the procedure is normal. For the early elimination of discomfort after permanent makeup, an anti-inflammatory and wound-healing ointment is applied to the lips. Immediately after permanent lip makeup, according to customer reviews, the lips appear enlarged and the color of the tattoo is very bright. However, these symptoms disappear after 5-6 hours: the edema subsides, and the lip color acquires a more natural shade.
For home care, the specialist recommends clients to use ice cubes on the lips from chamomile, string, calendula or black tea infusions. The duration of skin recovery after the permanent lip makeup procedure with shading is 7-10 days.
Contraindications
Like any other intervention in the body, albeit with good intentions, permanent lip makeup, according to customers and specialists, has its own contraindications. It is not recommended to carry out the procedure in the presence of skin diseases in the stage of exacerbations (for example, herpes), as well as people suffering from a tendency to form keloid scars, bleeding disorders, diabetes mellitus. Pregnant and lactating mothers, women during menstruation, as well as after taking alcohol and drugs that increase the duration of blood clotting should refrain from lip tattooing.
