Implant tablets of the drug are injected into muscle tissue to a depth of four centimeters. Most often, Esperal is implanted in the left iliac region or in the upper part of the buttocks. After a preliminary procedure for anesthesia and thorough disinfection, a small incision (about 6 mm) is made, the subcutaneous tissue is pushed apart with a trocar and two Esperal tablets (0.1 g each) are injected to a depth of about four centimeters.
