Bemitil is a psychostimulating drug that increases performance during physical exertion and has antioxidant, regenerative, nootropic, antihypoxic and immunomodulatory effects.
The drug increases the body's resistance to the effects of extreme factors of different severity - stress, physical activity, hypoxia and hyperthermia.
Release form and composition
The drug is produced in the form of coated tablets (pack of 100).
The main active ingredient is ethylthiobenzimidazole hydrobromide, in 1 tablet - 125 mg or 250 mg.
Indications for use
- Increase and recovery of working capacity, especially after heavy physical labor, hypoxia, overheating and other extreme stress on the body;
- Acceleration of adaptation to the effects of various extreme factors;
- Treatment of somatic diseases, infections and intoxication, as well as use in the pre- and postoperative period;
- Treatment of cerebrovascular accidents, encephalitis, meningitis, the effects of traumatic brain injury and memory loss.
Contraindications
- Arrhythmia;
- Severe liver dysfunction;
- Epilepsy;
- Hypoglycemia;
- Glaucoma;
- Pregnancy and lactation;
- Arterial hypertension;
- Hypersensitivity;
- Cardiac ischemia.
Method of administration and dosage
Bemitil is taken 2 times a day, 250-500 mg, preferably after meals.
Usually, the course of treatment is 5 days, followed by a break of at least 2 days to avoid the accumulation of the drug, leading to side effects. Depending on the therapeutic effect, as a rule, 2-3 treatment courses are carried out.
Side effects
The use of Bemitil can cause discomfort in the stomach, flushing of the facial skin, nausea, headache, vomiting and rhinitis. Depending on the severity of the symptoms in these cases, it is recommended to reduce the dose or discontinue the use of the drug.
In case of an overdose, the drug can lead to increased excitability and disturbance of night sleep.
special instructions
To achieve the optimal therapeutic effect when treating with Bemitil, it is recommended to follow a diet rich in carbohydrates.
When used simultaneously with antioxidants, nootropics, glutamic acid, antihypoxanths, asparkam, vitamins and non-steroidal anabolic drugs, it should be borne in mind that the drug enhances their metabolic effect.
