Pharmacological properties
Antigrippin-ANVI has an anti-cold, antipyretic, analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antihistamine and angioprotective effect.
Pharmacodynamics
The effect of the drug is due to the properties of its constituent components:
- ascorbic acid helps to increase the body's resistance, plays an important role in tissue regeneration, blood clotting, regulation of carbohydrate metabolism and redox processes;
- acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) inhibits platelet aggregation, has anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antipyretic effects;
- rutoside (rutin) - an angioprotector that reduces capillary permeability, inflammation and swelling; inhibits the aggregation of erythrocytes and increases the degree of their deformation;
- metamizole sodium (analgin) has antipyretic and analgesic effects; inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins, due to which it also has a weak anti-inflammatory property;
- calcium gluconate reduces vascular permeability, has an antiallergic effect, participates in the regulation of calcium and phosphorus metabolism;
- diphenhydramine (diphenhydramine) has a decongestant, antiallergic and local anesthetic effect (reduces vascular permeability, eliminates sore throat, hyperemia and swelling of the nasal mucosa, as well as allergic reactions from the upper respiratory tract).
Indications for use
Antigrippin-ANVI is used for the symptomatic treatment of colds, acute respiratory viral infections and influenza in adults and adolescents from 15 years old.

- hemorrhagic diathesis (von Willebrand disease, thrombocytopenia, hemophilia, hypoprothrombinemia, telangiectasia, thrombocytopenic purpura);
- deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- hereditary hemolytic anemia associated with a deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase;
- calcium nephrolithiasis, hypercalciuria;
- hypercalcemia;
- vitamin K deficiency;

Side effects
- allergic reactions: skin rashes, Quincke's edema, bronchospasm;
- on the part of the cardiovascular system: increased blood pressure, tachycardia;
- from the digestive system: gastrointestinal bleeding, erosive and ulcerative lesions of the gastrointestinal tract, nausea, gastralgia, anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting, liver failure;
- others: renal failure.
With prolonged use of the drug (longer than 7 days), the following side effects may occur:
- allergic reactions: toxic epidermal necrolysis (Lyell's syndrome), Stevens-Johnson syndrome, anaphylactic shock;
- from the central nervous system: dizziness, headache;

- from the senses: tinnitus, deafness, visual impairment;
- others: in children - Reye's syndrome (liver dysfunction, vomiting, metabolic acidosis, hyperpyrexia, mental and nervous system disorders).
Overdose
The following symptoms may indicate an overdose of Antigrippin-ANVI: ringing in the ears, pallor of the skin, sweating, nausea, stomach pain, vomiting, tachycardia. In case of a significant overdose, the following are possible: anuria, drowsiness, shortness of breath, bronchospasm, collapse, bleeding, convulsions, respiratory acidosis, progressive respiratory paralysis.
When taking an overdose of the drug, it is necessary to artificially induce vomiting and rinse the stomach, take activated charcoal and saline laxative. In case of convulsive syndrome, intravenous administration of barbiturates and diazepam is indicated. If necessary, perform hemodialysis, forced diuresis.
special instructions
In low doses, ASA reduces the excretion of uric acid from the body, which is why there is a risk of a gout attack.
ASA has antiplatelet properties, therefore, with the upcoming surgical intervention, it is necessary to warn the attending physician about taking the drug.
With pollinosis and bronchial asthma, the likelihood of developing hypersensitivity reactions is increased.
Ascorbic acid can aggravate the course of rapidly proliferating and intensely metastatic tumors.
Antigrippin-ANVI contains sodium metamizole, therefore its simultaneous use with penicillin, colloidal blood substitutes and X-ray contrast agents is contraindicated.
The ascorbic acid contained in the preparation can distort the results of some laboratory tests, for example, to determine the activity of hepatic transaminases, the content of bilirubin, glucose and lactate dehydrogenase in the blood plasma.
Antigrippin-ANVI is not recommended to be taken during therapy with ticlopidine, anticoagulants, glucocorticosteroids, antihypertensive and uricosuric drugs.
During treatment, it is worth refraining from drinking alcoholic beverages, since ethanol increases the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Ascorbic acid stimulates the synthesis of corticosteroid hormones, therefore, kidney function and blood pressure control is required.
With prolonged treatment, it is necessary to monitor laboratory parameters of the functional state of the liver and the picture of peripheral blood.
Influence on the ability to drive vehicles and complex mechanisms
Patients taking Antigrippin-ANVI should refrain from potentially dangerous activities that require speed of reactions and increased attention.
Application during pregnancy and lactation
Antigrippin-ANVI is not prescribed during pregnancy, since ASA has a teratogenic effect: when used in the first trimester, it can cause splitting of the upper palate, in the third trimester - premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus, as a result of which hyperplasia of the pulmonary vessels and hypertension in the vessels of the small the circle of blood circulation, as well as inhibition of labor. In the second trimester, the drug can only be used as directed by a doctor if the expected benefit outweighs the potential risks.
ASA penetrates into breast milk, which may lead to dysfunction of platelets and, as a result, bleeding in the child. For this reason, if it is necessary to carry out therapy during lactation, breastfeeding should be temporarily stopped.
Pediatric use
According to the instructions, Antigrippin-ANVI is contraindicated in patients under the age of 15 years. In the case of using ASA as an antipyretic agent in acute respiratory viral diseases in children under 15 years of age, there is a high risk of developing Reye's syndrome, manifested by encephalopathy and acute fatty liver disease with acute development of liver failure.
With impaired renal function
The use of the drug is contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.
For violations of liver function
The use of the drug is contraindicated in patients with severe liver dysfunction and portal hypertension.
Drug interactions
In case of simultaneous use of Antigrippin-ANVI:
- enhances the action of steroid hormones, indirect anticoagulants, hypoglycemic agents, reserpine, heparin;
- reduces the effect of uricosuric drugs, antihypertensive drugs, furosemide, spironolactone;
- enhances the side effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, non-narcotic analgesics, sulfonylurea derivatives, glucocorticosteroids, methotrexate.
With the combined use of ethanol or ethanol-containing drugs, antiepileptic drugs, barbiturates, rifampicin, zidovudine, the risk of developing hepatotoxic effects increases, and therefore these combinations should be avoided.
Metamizole sodium enhances the effects of ethanol, reduces the level of cyclosporine in the blood. Its analgesic effect is increased by tranquilizers and sedatives. Allopurinol, oral contraceptives and tricyclic antidepressants disrupt its metabolism and increase the toxicity.
Melphalan and thiamazole in combination with metamizole sodium increase the risk of developing leukopenia.
Ascorbic acid improves the absorption of iron in the intestine.
