Useful properties of strawberries
From the point of view of traditional medicine, wild strawberries are a valuable multivitamin remedy that helps with diabetes, vitamin deficiency, and poor metabolism. The people also call wild strawberries a drier and berry.
Strawberry berries contain cinchona, malic, citric and other organic acids, essential oils, vitamins, tannins, phytoncides, carbohydrates. Wild strawberries are harvested in June and July, in the morning or at the end of the day.
Strawberry leaves are also beneficial, and are harvested when the strawberries are in bloom and then dried. The infusion of leaves has a sedative, vasodilating, tonic, tonic, anti-sclerotic, hematopoietic effect.
Also, such useful properties of strawberries are noticed: anti-inflammatory, diuretic, diaphoretic, wound healing, astringent, it increases the tone of the uterus, increases its contractions, slows down the heart rate, increases the amplitude of heart contractions.
Application of leaves, strawberries
To prepare a fortified fortifying agent from strawberries and its leaves, a decoction is prepared: 200 ml of hot water is poured into 20 g of crushed dry raw materials, boiled for 10 minutes, infused for two hours, and then, after straining, they drink 20 ml three times a day. The same remedy is recommended for arrhythmia, atherosclerosis, ischemia, bronchitis, urolithiasis, in particular in preparation for surgical removal of stones.
With anemia, mental fatigue, spleen diseases, an infusion on strawberry leaves helps, which is prepared and taken in the same way.
With hypertension, enterocolitis, gastrointestinal ulcers, take such an infusion: the strawberry leaves are poured with boiling water, but not boiled, but simply insisted for two hours. The product is also taken in 20 ml 3-4 times a day. Lotions with this infusion help with hemorrhoids complicated by bleeding.
In case of diseases of the bile ducts, an infusion on the leaves of strawberries is drunk before meals 4 times a day, 100 ml.
In case of salt metabolism disorders, diseases of the bladder, bedwetting, kidney pathologies, a decoction of strawberry leaves and berries is taken as a diuretic. A broth is prepared in the same proportions: 200 ml of water per 20 g, for preparation, medicinal raw materials are boiled for about 10 minutes, infused for two hours, and, after straining, diluted with boiled water to the original 200 ml. Take the product 20ml three times a day.
The effectiveness of alcohol tincture on strawberry leaves is also noted. For its preparation, 6 g of leaves are poured over 200 ml of vodka, insisted for a week, and then filtered. They drink tincture for arrhythmia, heart failure, carotene and vitamin C deficiency, 30-50 drops three times a day. Such a tincture on strawberries also helps during an epidemic of colds as a means of strengthening the immune system.
Outwardly, wild strawberry gruel is used to heal small wounds, treat eczema: put chopped strawberries on gauze and make lotions on sore spots.
Contraindications
Despite the sweet taste and useful properties of strawberries, you cannot eat, and use decoctions from them in large quantities, because it is a strong allergen, and with individual characteristics of the body can cause itching, rash, vomiting, dizziness, redness of the skin. Such symptoms rarely require serious medical intervention, usually go away on their own after stopping the use of berries.
Pregnant women and children should take funds on strawberries with extreme caution; they have an increased risk of developing unwanted reactions.
It is not recommended to take medications from strawberries for those who have increased secretion of gastric juice, frequent stomach and hepatic colic are observed, and inflamed appendicitis is diagnosed.
